1. Be an erythrocyte, explained where you are
formed, then take us on a journey through three specific veins, through the
vena cava, specific parts of the heart, to and from the lungs, and finally
through at least 4 specific arteries. Be
specific, be interesting, and include what you’re job is as an erythrocyte.
2. Explain how the heart works and how blood
circulates through the body. Recall what
we’ve measured about your heart and explain how those measurements relate to
the overall health of your body.
3. Explain the CSI from chapter 7, 2, 11, 10,
12, or 13. In your own words and relate the CSI to a loss of homeostasis or to
some factor involved in the big eleven.
4. Go online to the Nobelprize.org website, play
an educational game related to one of the nobel prize winners, explain the game, explain the science behind
the game and give a detailed biographical sketch of the nobel prize winner
involved with that game.
5. Make up a fictional day-in-the –life type
story of what it’s like to be in high school (be appropriate) and explain how
the homeostasis graph applies to your day, and include specific moments in your
day when you are at your maximum heart rate, when you are at your basal
metabolic rate, when you are experiencing your VO2 max, when you are breathing
at normal tidal volume, and when you are exhaling at your maximal expiratory
volume.

Don’t use my
exact words, but you get the general idea…an rsvp needs three supporting ideas,
and a summarizing sentence at the end…include them, be creative, make this
interesting, you worked hard to get an answer for these.
7. Research any disease or illness and explain
how it affects one part of the big eleven and then eventually other parts of
the big eleven
8. For each term in the big eleven, given an
example of a cell part or an organ or a body system that does that part of the
big eleven or contributes to it….example..the cytoskeleton is what forms cilia,
flagella, etc. and helps with number five, movement.
